About

I specialize in eating disorder treatment, trauma, anxiety, and athlete mental health. I use a variety of treatment modalities to create an individualized therapeutic relationship and experience for each of my clients to reach their goals and have an open, accepting space to process their life stories. We all have fears, doubts, and insecurities that can keep us from engaging in the life we envision for ourselves. My goal in working with you is to help you conquer those obstacles so you can bloom into the life that has been otherwise out of reach!

We are each capable of incredible things– as long as we are given the tools, the time, and the opportunities to show them. Those incredible things come out of our heritage, our ideals, our personal identities and experiences. If we only had one kind of person in the world, there wouldn't be much to admire. While we explore how to show what we value and our authentic selves, it's important to find a space that's judgement free, and safe to be curious and make a mess, sometimes laugh at ourselves, and definitely cry for ourselves. My goal is to provide such a space that starts as a room or a virtual call–and becomes a bubble of safe exploration.

What sets me apart

I am a body positive, identity affirming therapist who believes we all need non-judgemental support while we "figure it all out". Creating an individualized therapeutic relationship and experience is at the heart of my practice to allow you to reach your goals and have an open, accepting space to process your life stories. I have heard countless stories of the fear, doubt, and insecurities that keep us from engaging in the life we envision for ourselves. Our work will center around clarifying what the obstacles are, and empowering you to try new paths through them so you can live your story in a way that you are proud of. As a focused ballet student for 16 years, I dedicated myself to my training, body mind and spirit! I will never forget the hours I spent in the studio, perfecting my technique, striving for perfection in every way possible (including ways that were unhealthy!). I bring those experiences into my work as a therapist, understanding the unique mind-body relationship required for athletes, especially those who are judged on their bodies, and bond them to my extensive training in eating disorder and trauma recovery care.

In addition to offering talk therapy, I am certified in administering the Strong Interest Inventory, a career exploration inventory designed to support people in finding possible career paths that they will enjoy and succeed in. I offer this inventory to high school students, college students, and adults. This inventory can be a wonderful starting place for athletes looking for or needing career change support, and students who feel overwhelmed in the process of deciding on a path forward (whether or not they intend to go to college!).

Clients

Most of my clients are athletes or athletic artists (active or retired) who want to improve their relationship with their body to improve their performance, and strengthen the relationship within their identity. Whether or not they are preparing for a professional career, the athletes I work with have a more complicated relationship with their body than their non-athletic peers and need that relationship to be at the top of their game. I see clients as young as 12 years old.
