Sunday Evening Online Support Group

Led by Melanie

ANAD’s longest serving program is our eating disorder, self-help support groups. Self-help group support can help tremendously when someone is suffering from an eating disorder because it allows them to share what they are feeling and thinking in a safe, non-threatening environment where they will not be judged for having an eating disorder. Caring, community support can help replace eating disorders.

Support Group Leader, Melanie, is married with two children. After 20 years of experience with bulimia, anxiety, depression, and self-harm, she found her path to recovery. Melanie’s recovery journey provided her a lot of insight and personal growth. She is now a graduate student, she will obtain her MSW in August 2020! Melanie has facilitated recovery groups, therapeutic meals, and relaxation techniques.

Melanie looks forward to sharing her experiences and knowledge with others who are struggling with eating disorders because full recovery is possible. It often takes the help of support to aid in the recovery process and allows us to learn from one another.

This Sunday Morning virtual support group is free and confidential and is open to individuals struggling with bulimia.
