M.Ed., LCPC
I have been a psychotherapist for over 33 years, specializing clients struggling with anorexia, bulimia and binge-eating disorder. I consider myself a partner in the healing process. I’ve found that using an integrative model helps me tailor therapy to each individual’s unique needs. The integrative model I use includes education, neuropsychological ways to increase emotional regulation, compassion training, trauma work when needed, meditation, relational work, cognitive behavioral therapy, and ACT. After clients have developed stabilize boundaries with eating and food they have the option to learn attuned eating. A balance of support and empathetic challenge helps clients to grow and make changes necessary for healing and well being. I am a certified Mindfulness Meditation Teacher trained by Jack Kornfield and Tara Brach.
