Delta Phi Epsilon

Delta Phi Epsilon and ANAD have a long history of philanthropic partnership.  Throughout the years, DPhiE has not only raised funds for ANAD, but DPhiE sisters on college campuses nationwide have hosted numerous Candlelight Vigils and ANAD Eating Disorder Awareness Weeks in order to promote and educate about eating disorders and body image positivity.

Every year, ANAD honors, supports, and celebrates Eating Disorder Recovery with a Candlelight Vigil. The vigil is meant to commemorate those that are still actively in eating disorder recovery, those that have recovered, and those that have lost lives their lives to an eating disorder. Candlelight Vigils are open to everyone.

Be Real Illinois

The Be Real Illinois Initiative aims to bring together stakeholders from local communities, government, schools, business, and philanthropies to spread body confidence throughout Illinois.
Be Real Illinois is focused on promoting body confidence in schools, along with advocating for state legislature that focuses on eating disorders.

Be Real aims to be the “action arm” for the abundant research in the field and the local ED charities that focus on providing resources to people. They create materials for schools, organize volunteers to execute educator training, and organize people to contact their local state representatives for legislative change. Contact Denise Hamburger, Be Real Illinois Founding Director, for more details.

ANAD is thrilled to be working with such an amazing organization, and we’re celebrating with an Ice Cream Social! Find out more about the partnership, enjoy some delicious treats and fun events, and meet some of the ANAD staff when you come!
